Federico Naranjo

Born September 27, 1988 in San Jose, Costa Rica. Been playing music since 4-5 years of age, starting with piano lessons early on. Grabbed a guitar at the age of 20 and soon enough developed serious playing and songwriting skills.

Determined to follow the musical path, decided to audition and was accepted at possibly the best music school in the world, Berklee College of Music, in Boston, Massachusetts. After attending 5 and a half rigorous years at Berklee he got a dual major degree, both in Professional Music and Music Production & Engineering, graduating with Magna Cum Laude Honor.

He has worked in different studios in Boston and NYC, including an internship at the world famous Electric Lady Studios. Here he also furthered his musical skills by playing with some of the top musicians in the world, including events with his NYC roommates and prominent professionals such as Ramiro Marziani and Matar Fuma.

Coming back to Costa Rica during/after the pandemic, early in 2023 he met Casa Jimmy studios and clicked pretty soon. He has done several works ever since, including the recording and production of his own original project “Frikush”, and also recording and producing bands such as Gentry, Peace Maker, Hijos de Tencha, Deceiver, Angelix, and others.
